Sun-Kissed Maternity Shoot for AJ & DaQuesha in South Jackson, Tennessee

This past Sunday, I had the honor of photographing AJ and DaQuesha as they prepare to welcome their first child, a baby girl, in February. This wasn’t my first session with them—I also had the joy of capturing their baby reveal photos earlier this year, making this shoot an even more special continuation of their journey into parenthood.

Their property in South Jackson served as the perfect setting for this intimate maternity session. The sunny weather worked in our favor, with warm, golden light filtering through the trees and creating a natural, sun-kissed glow that highlighted the love and anticipation AJ and DaQuesha share. The theme of the shoot was simple and classic, keeping the focus on their connection and excitement for the new life they are bringing into the world.

DaQuesha looked radiant, her maternal glow beautifully complemented by the soft, natural light, while AJ’s calm and supportive energy made every moment we captured feel genuine. While the high sun presented a few creative challenges, it also gave us opportunities to play with light and shadow, resulting in warm, dynamic images that truly tell their story.

As I wrapped up the session and sent them the edited photos, I received a heartfelt text from DaQuesha: “Mirza!!!!!!! Man these are sooooo good!! 🔥🔥🔥 😭 I could cry.” Her words were a reminder of why I love what I do—capturing memories that resonate so deeply with my clients.

Having documented both their baby reveal and maternity milestones, I feel incredibly grateful to be part of AJ and DaQuesha’s journey. These moments of anticipation and joy are fleeting but timeless, and I’m honored to have created images that will remind them of this beautiful chapter for years to come.
